Lots of Progress

Well a few posts ago I said I would upload photos of the nursery when it was finally done and after weeks of working on the room, it is finally mostly complete! Mike and I worked really hard on getting it set up and I'm so proud of how it's turned out. We have a few more finishing touches to finish up with but honestly the only thing really missing is Madison LOL. Enjoy the pictures..

On another note, after MUCH deliberation we have finally found an urn for Aidan! It's not exactly what I wanted, however I am so happy with the decision we made. He is now hanging out in a glass cabinet in our room where we have put some pictures and other important mementos of Aidan...

Two years ago today Mike and I saw Aidan wiggling around on the ultrasound monitor for the first time, it was definitely love at first sight!

Ohana...

I thought of you and closed my eyes
And prayed to God today
I asked "What makes a Parent?"
And I know I heard Him say.

"A Parent has a baby"
This we know is true
"But God can you be a Parent,
When your baby's not with you?"

"Yes, you can," He replied
With confidence in His voice
"I give many families babies,
When they leave is not their choice.

Some I send for a lifetime,
And others for the day.
And some I send to feel your womb,
But there's no need to stay."

"I just don't understand this God
I want my baby to be here."
He took a deep breath and cleared His throat,
And then I saw the tear.

"I wish I could show you,
What your child is doing today.
If you could see your child's smile,
With all the other children and say...

'We go to Earth to learn our lessons,
Of love and life and fear.
My Parents loved me oh so much,
I got to come straight here.

I feel so lucky to have Parents,
Who had so much love for me.
I learned my lessons very quickly,
My Mommy and Daddy set me free.

I miss my Parents oh so much,
But I visit them every day.
When they go to sleep,
On their pillow's where I lay

I stroke their hair and kiss their cheeks,
And whisper in their ear.
Mommy and Daddy don't be sad today,
I'm your baby and I'm here.'

"So you see my dear sweet ones,
your children are okay.
Your babies are born here in My home,
And this is where they'll stay.

They'll wait for you with Me,
Until your lesson's through.
And on the day that you come home
they'll be at the gates for you.

So now you see what makes a Parent,
It's the feeling in your heart
it's the love you had so much of
Right from the very start

Though some on earth may not realize,
you are a Parent.
Until their time is done.
They'll be up here with Me one day
and know that you are the best one!"

"Ohana means family, family means nobody gets left behind. Or forgotten.
This is my family. I found it, all on my own. It's little and broken, but still good. Yeah, still good."

Another New Year

Prayer for Strength and Wisdom
Grant me the strength from day to day
To bear what burdens come my way.
Grant me throughout this bright New Year
More to endure and less to fear.
Help me to live that I may be
From spite and petty malice free.
Let me not bitterly complain
When cherished hopes of mine prove vain,
Or spoil with deeds of hate and rage
Some fair tomorrow's spotless page.
Lord, as the days shall come and go
In courage let me stronger grow.
Lord, as the new day dawns today
Help me to put my faults away.
Let me be big in little things;
Grant me the joy which friendship brings.
Keep me from selfishness and spite;
Let me be wise in what is right.
A happy New Year! Grant that I
May bring no tear to any eye.
When this New Year in time shall end
Let it be said I've played the friend,
Have lived and loved and labored here,
And made of it a happy year.

Happy New Year everyone!
So most of you probably know by now that we are having a baby GIRL, atleast we are 95% sure its a girl. Janie said in the envelope that we will check again on my next ultrasound (February 2nd). We have decided on the name, Madison Elizabeth. I don't really have much more new information other than that. I went to the doctors and the heartbeat sounded good (in the 130's). We also have a maternity ward tour scheduled for January 18th. We also began working on the nursery, so after its finished I will post some pictures.
